We consider it important to provide a view of the program from the resident’s perspective:

“When I rotated at WRNMMC and Walter Reed, I was really impressed at the
academic accomplishment of individuals at all levels of training in the
program. Many of the residents, fellows and staff have trained at some of
the most prestigious programs in the country.”

“As important to me, however, has been just how "normal" everyone is (not
equitable with mediocre). I think it's easy to under-appreciate just how
important it is that I can relate with, depend on and laugh with the other
residents and staff. I'm very happy with the volume and more importantly,
quality of our surgical training. As a result, I'll be well prepared for
life after residency.”

"As a resident, you spend many hours with a group of individuals who in a sense become your extended family. And just like any family, we work hard together and play even harder; we celebrate in each other triumphs and our share in each others sorrows. Unlike many other programs where the residents can feel like hired hands, this program, from the administration to the staff, is committed to helping us achieve whatever our ultimate goals may be. Regardless of whether you decide to pursue fellowship or decide to be generalist, you are encouraged and assisted to be excellent obstetricians and gynecologists. Like a true family, this program believes nurturing the needs of all its residents".
