Mission

The Personnel Support Activity Detachment (PSD) at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center provides one-stop pay, personnel, administrative and passenger transportation support to approximately 5200 active duty and 1100 reserve military personnel assigned to the medical center and 48 tenant commands. Support is also provided to military dependents of assigned personnel, retirees in the mid-Atlantic region and passenger transportation to Department of the Navy civilians.

PSD Bethesda Move

PSD Bethesda opened this morning, 3 August 2011, at 0730 for customer service at building 17.  Phone numbers and email addresses remain the same as before. 

PSD Bethesda and the DEERS/RAPIDS Site at Bethesda are located on the 1st
floor of bldg 17.  Bldg 17 is on Taylor Road directly across from JTF
CAPMED, bldg 27
Hours of Operation for PSD Bethesda

Check-ins: 0900 and 1300 Mon-Fri
All other services: 0730-1600 Mon-Fri
Closed Saturday, Sunday and Federal Holidays.

For after-hours emergencies, contact the Command Duty Officer via pager at 1-866-295-4913; enter pin # 1700865; enter your call back number.

Directions

PSD Bethesda has relocated to Room 3131 on the 3rd floor of Bldg 8 which is directly above their previous location on the 2nd floor. PSD Bethesda will be at this location until Sep 11 when they will be relocated to their permanent location in Bldg 17, currently being refurbished, on the Bethesda Compound. Phone numbers for all PSD personnel are the same.
