Join Forces For Mass Disaster or National Emergency

The National Institutes of Health, National Naval Medical Center, and Suburban Hospital form a unique team of emergency responders from federal, military, and private healthcare agencies. With their close proximity, less than a mile, the partnership is logical and natural. The community stands to gain.

Intense planning, training, and coordination goes on behind the scenes. After all, there isn't a moment or a resource to waste.

To date, disaster drills have been performed with many successes as well as lessons learned. The most recent, the Collaborative Multi-Agency Exercise 2006 (CMAX 06), not only involved these three agencies but also many other local "responders."

CMAX 06 received national attention. Link to a cable news clip.
