Volunteer Program

Over 300 people volunteer through National Naval Medical Center’s Red Cross field station each year. In this past year alone these volunteers clocked close to 50,000 hours in support of the hospital.

You CAN help! You will be part of an important support network for all areas - clinic, hospital, and administration.

Here you will find an outlet for your available time, interests, and talents! Your niche is waiting for you. Your preferences and the Medical Center’s needs are considered in assigning you a position. Training by the Red Cross office as well as “on-the-job” will help you feel comfortable in your new role.

Further details on our Volunteer Program are available in our regularly scheduled orientation sessions. To find out how to become a Red Cross volunteer at NNMC, call (301)295-1538 or stop by the Red Cross office in Bldg 8, Room 2189 on the second floor.
