Eligibility

Eligible Department of Defense beneficiaries, including patients 65 years and older.

Referral

Please speak with your PCM or Breast Care Provider in order to receive instructions on how to best obtain an order for mammogram."

What to Expect at Your First or Annual Appointment

You will be seen and examined by a physician. If required, a mammogram will be scheduled.

Breast Cancer Research

The Breast Care Center collaborates with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for non-breast cancer, breast cancer, and patients at high-risk for developing cancer. Your Medical Record and Treatment Card

Enrolled at WRNMMC?

Please bring your Outpatient Treatment Card (OTC). New or replacement cards can be obtained from Outpatient Medical Records.*

Medical records of WRNMMC patients are maintained in Outpatient Medical Records,* not by the patient. This new policy allows time for your record to be pre-delivered to the Breast Care Center prior to a scheduled appointment. For policy details, please visit the Records Management web page and look for “Project Recapture.”

Patients who have a walk-in, same-day appointment, or who would like to confirm delivery of record, should contact:

Please bring your private health insurance card each time you visit the BCC. Congress now allows military hospitals to bill insurance companies for services. Every dollar collected returns to WRNMMC budget for direct patient care.
