Clinical Stroke Team advances strategies
for stroke prevention.
For more than a decade, the Department of Neurology’s Clinical

using state of the art methods to help treat patients having acute
strokes.
To assure the best care for stroke patients at WRNMMC, the stroke
team has implemented a multidisciplinary critical pathway. Specialists
in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, Emergency

to speak, understand speech, read and/or write. At WRNMMC, aphasia
patients regain control of their communication skills with the help
of the stroke team, WRNMMC's Neurology Clinic, and speech therapists.
Early intervention, and possibly long-term therapy, is key to returning
