Patient Safety Awareness Week March 6-12, 2005

Ask, Listen & Learn is the theme for effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Success rests with both:

Health care providers should listen to their patients, explain with basic terms, and encourage patients to be partners in their care.

Patients should take ownership in their condition and care. Ask questions for thorough understanding and to become a partner with their doctor in managing their healthcare.
